Shrewsbury

Located in a central position near Ludlow train station, you will find Ludlow Brewing Company in a restored Victorian railway shed.

Ludlow Farmshop

 

No trip to Ludlow is complete without sampling some of the local food that the town is famous for, and there is no better place to do this than Ludlow Farmshop.

 

Set within Oakly Park Estate, the Farmshop is surrounded by working farmland that supplies food and ingredients to the shop, as well as it’s cafe and restaurant.

St Laurence’s Church

 

An iconic building in the Ludlow landscape, St Laurence’s Church is nicknamed the “Cathedral of the Marches” and has a tower that stands at 135 feet tall.

 

Built in the Norman period, the church is an active place of worship to this day. Visitors can marvel at the church’s beautiful medieval stained glass windows throughout the building, as well as other carefully crafted historic architecture and features such as the Chancel misericords.

 

Be sure to check out the Great East Window which tells the story of St Laurence, and is the largest stained glass window devoted to a single saint in an English parish church.

 

Bridgnorth and Beyond
