Looking for the perfect excuse to explore Shropshire, Herefordshire and North Wales this year? From music festivals and food fairs to historic re-enactments and outdoor challenges, 2026 is packed with incredible events right on the doorstep of our award-winning touring parks.
Whether you’re a foodie, a history buff or an outdoor enthusiast, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to book your pitch early, as some of these events are very popular!

Shrewsbury
If you are staying at our Oxon Hall Touring Park in Shrewsbury this year, here are some key dates for your diary:
Sabrina Boat
When: 1st March – 31st October
Where: Victoria House, Victoria Quay, Shrewsbury
Hop on the Sabrina Boat for themed cruises from March through October! Get your leg warmers on for the Back to the ’80s cruise on 29th May, or join a relaxing two-hour wine tasting cruise on 25th June. View more Sabrina Boat events here.
LOOPFEST
When: Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May
Where: Various venues across Shrewsbury
Enjoy live music throughout the historic town of Shrewsbury with this three-day, multi-venue festival. Featuring hundreds of acts, from indie and punk to DJ sets and rock n’ roll, there is something for all musical tastes.
Battle of Shrewsbury Medieval Festival
When: Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July
Where: Battlefield 1403, Upper Battlefield, Shrewsbury, SY4 3DB
Step back in time and witness the dramatic re-enactment of the Battle of Shrewsbury on the original site. Explore living history displays, traditional crafts and cookery, and meet experts from national and regional history groups.
Shrewsbury Food Festival
When: Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June
Where: The Quarry Park, Shrewsbury, SY1 1RN
Get those tastebuds tingling at the Shrewsbury Food Festival! Enjoy delicious food from street food vendors, independent food producers and top chefs, plus live music, home and garden stalls and chef demos.
Shrewsbury Folk Festival
When: Friday 28th to Monday 31st August
Where: West Midlands Showground, Shrewsbury, SY1 2PF
From newcomers to the music scene to established musicians, the Shrewsbury Folk Festival has a huge range of live music performances in the folk and world music genres. With on-site catering, bars and a craft fair, this festival is fun for all the family.
Shrewsbury Steam Rally
When: Sunday 30th and Monday 31st August
Where: Onslow Park, SY3 5EE
Step back in time and enjoy over 1000 exhibits at the Shrewsbury Steam Rally, from steam-powered engines and vintage cars, tractors and motorbikes, to fairground rides and even prams! Watch the vehicles parade through the Main Arena, or see demonstrations of traditional farming techniques from the last century in the Working Field.
Shropshire Oktoberfest
When: Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October
Where: The Quarry Park, Shrewsbury, SY1 1RN
Discover local ale, cider, beer, wine and more at the Shropshire Oktoberfest. Held in The Quarry park in Shrewsbury, visitors can pair their drinks with delicious street food before enjoying live comedy and music or taking part in the silent disco.
Ludlow
Right on the doorstep of Ludlow Touring Park, this charming town is famous for its festivals:
Ludlow Spring Festival
When: Friday 8th to Sunday 10th May
Where: Ludlow Castle, SY8 1AY
Explore a fantastic variety of food and drink exhibitors from Ludlow and the Welsh Marches. Held in the grounds of Ludlow Castle, Ludlow Spring Festival is also the place to see the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Wales & West Regional Awards, as well as live music, comedy and talks.

Enjoy live music concerts in the dramatic setting of Ludlow Castle grounds. With The Human League announced as the first 2026 act, other acts include Snow Patrol, Rick Astley, Scissor Sisters and more.
Ludlow Magnalonga
When: Sunday 9th August
Where: Marches countryside (exact route TBC)
Enjoy a ramble and local produce as you follow the eight-mile Magnalonga trail through the beautiful countryside. Stop at refreshment points along the way and taste delicious meals made from local produce, as well as locally sourced drinks such as ale, cider and water.
Ludlow Food Festival
When: Friday 11th September to Sunday 13th September
Where: Ludlow Castle, SY8 1AY
A firm favourite for all the foodies, the Ludlow Food Festival features a wonderful array of food activities, from chef appearances and talks, to trails, masterclasses and workshops. Explore local produce from talented exhibitors and discover a mouth-watering variety of tasty goodies.
Bridgnorth
From steam trains to the 1940s, if you’re visiting our Stanmore Hall Touring Park here are some Bridgnorth events for 2026:
Severn Valley Spring Gala
When: Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th April
Where: Severn Valley Railway
The Severn Valley Railway will be hosting its popular Spring Gala, where visitors can step back in time and take a journey on vintage steam trains. With dining options available, this is a fantastic event for all the family.
Step Back to the 1940s
When: Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June, and Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July
Where: Severn Valley Railway
Be transported to the Blitz era through two weekends of rip-roaring fun at the Severn Valley Railway. Discover a variety of vintage things to see and do at stations along the 16-mile railway.
Bridgnorth Town Carnival
When: Date TBC
Where: Low Town, Bridgnorth
Enjoy fun for all the family at Bridgnorth Town Carnival. View a variety of floats, vehicles and live entertainment, as well as stalls, food and drink and a dog show!
Llanberis
A haven for those looking for outdoor adventure, there are plenty of events on the doorstep of our Llanberis Touring Park in 2026:
Ultra Trail Snowdonia
When: Friday 15th to Sunday 17th May
Where: Start point in Llanberis, Snowdonia
Test your running ability and take on the Ultra Trail Snowdonia. Starting in Llanberis, there are various routes to take part in that traverse mountain trails across Snowdonia and reward runners with breathtaking views along the way.
Slateman Triathlon
When: Sunday 14th June
Where: Llanberis
Starting in Llanberis, tackle this challenging triathlon through the breathtaking scenery of Snowdonia. Swim in the refreshing waters of Llyn Padarn, cycle through Beddgelert and around Snowdon, before running a course that travels a 2km climb through Dinorwic Slate Quarry.
Snowdonia Marathon Eyri
When: Saturday 24th October
Where: Llanberis
Voted the Best British Marathon twice, the Snowdonia Marathon Eyri starts in Llanberis and circles around Snowdon. Runners will navigate Llanberis Pass, through Beddgelert and Waunfawr, before climbing at Bwlch y Groes.
Betws-y-Coed
Step back in time to the Victorian era or rack up those steps on a half-marathon, here are some key events only a short distance away from our Riverside Touring Park.
Betws-y-Coed Trail Challenge
When: Saturday 21st March
Where: Betws-y-Coed
With different routes available of 5k, 10k and half-marathon lengths, each one starts in Betws-y-Coed before heading through the lush Gwydir Forest and navigating around Llyn Elsi.
Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza
When: Saturday 2nd May to Monday 4th May
Where: Llandudno
Be transported back to Victorian times at the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza and discover vintage attractions and entertainment, plus a Victorian fun fair and a street parade of steam engines.
Conwy River Festival
When: Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July, and Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th July
Where: Conwy Bay, Conwy
With two separate events held, enjoy the regatta weekend and the popular Quay Day on Saturday 4th July with nautical-themed activities, games and entertainment, as well as the famous LA-LA Rally that takes a route through to Caernarfon.
Herefordshire
Philosophy, literature and food are just a few of the treats lined up in the 2026 Herefordshire event calendar. Keep these dates in your diary if you are visiting our Poston Mill Touring Park this year.
RossBeerFest
When: Saturday 2nd to Sunday 3rd May
Where: Ross-on-Wye
Discover a wide range of beer and cider at this two-day festival, and relax with a beverage whilst listening to live music from regional bands and artists.
HowTheLightGetsIn
When: Friday 22nd May to Monday 25th May
Where: Off Newport Street, Hay-on-Wye, HR3 5BZ
Located alongside the River Wye, HowTheLightGetsIn is the world’s largest music and philosophy festival. Leading thinkers from around the world, including journalists, politicians, physicists, psychologists and philosophers, offer visitors the chance to debate and discuss various thought-provoking topics.
Hay Festival
When: Thursday 21st to Sunday 31st May
Where: Hay-on-Wye
Perhaps the biggest event in the Herefordshire calendar, the Hay Festival aims to inspire its visitors and ignite new ways of thinking through the world of literature. The Festival invites conversation around art, culture and science with talks from authors, journalists, comedians and more – all in the National Book Town of Wales.
Golden Valley Vintage and Country Fair
When: Saturday 6th June
Where: Moorhampton Park Farm, Abbey Dore, HR2 0AL
Enjoy a fantastic programme including exhibits of classic cars, tractors and steam engines, a dog show, falconry, dog show, medieval re-enactment, stalls, food and drink and more.
Hereford Indie Food Festival
When: Date TBC (usually August)
Where: Hereford
Try delicious foods at the Hereford Indie Food Festival from independent food and drinks businesses based in Herefordshire and further afield. Soak up the atmosphere and listen to live music, or browse the maker’s market for a delicious treat to take home. At the time of writing the 2026 event has not yet been announced, so please check their website for updates.
