Swim in the deep clear waters of Llyn Padarn and run beneath the majestic summit of Snowdon – Love SwimRun Llanberis will take place in Padarn Country Park, home to some of the most spectacular scenery in North Wales!
One of Europe’s toughest endurance challenges, the 10-mile race involves running from the edge of Lake Padarn in the village of Llanberis to the highest summit in Wales and England and back down. Runners from more than ten different countries compete every year. No one has broken the record since 1985 Kenny Stuart 1hr 02mins 29seconds.
Ascending 1685m over 26 miles of iconic and spectacular trails this race will circumnavigate and eventually climb Wales' highest peak, Snowdon. The route explores the stunning trails, spectacular panoramic views, and tough climbs that make Snowdonia National Park such a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. As well as a fantastic day of racing, there will be masses to see and do to keep the spectators entertained. This will include music, a wide range of activities and loads of kids entertainment too.
This race starts and finishes in the city centre and goes out to the coastline, in to the magnificent Penrhyn Castle Estate then back to and along the Garth Pier over the Menai Straits, taking in views of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the surrounding North Wales coastline, then back to the finish in the city centre.
Enter the Dragon events provide a mixture of high quality obstacles combined with a variety of body weight exercises. The courses accommodate for children and adults, situated in some of North Wales’s most picturesque areas. The courses feature some very punishing obstacles and grueling fitness challenges that will test your limits. Prepare to be submerged in waters of freezing temperatures, crawl through muddy trails, hike up the steepest hills and most importantly have fun!
