Chef Tom Kerridge, Johnny Flynn and Red Hot Chilli Pipers to star at flower show

Thousands of visitors are expected at this year’s Shrewsbury Flower Show on August 8 and 9, which will commemorate the ‘Show that never was’ in 1914, which was cancelled within days of the start of the Great War.

The show is set to have more attractions, bursting with stunning floral displays by top national nurseries and growers, fabulous food, celebrity guests and live entertainment, plus fireworks, to provide the ultimate summer day out.

Headline stars are Michelin-starred tv chef Tom Kerridge, who will give three demonstrations on both Friday and Saturday, Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit who will be entertaining the crowds on Friday and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, who will rock the stage with the sound of bagpipes for the show’s finale on Saturday.

Ticket prices have been held at the 2013 level and for those wishing to enter the grounds after 6pm the price has been reduced to £10.  Furthermore, children 15 and under, when accompanied by an adult have free entry.
